Who built DeckEdit, and why?
DeckEdit is two free, fully local tools. A NotebookLM slide converter and an online presentation editor. Built by a small team practicing Agentic Engineering. Over 1.15M files processed in the browser, with zero data collection.
Two products, one promise
Both run 100% in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
- NotebookLM Slide Converter — Turns NotebookLM PDF or image exports into a real .pptx with editable text boxes you can click, retype, and restyle in PowerPoint or Google Slides. Open the converter
- Free Online Presentation Editor — Opens any PDF or image deck in a browser-based editor. Real text boxes, real fonts, real export. No upload, no account, no watermark. Open the editor
The problem
AI tools like NotebookLM produce beautiful slides, but they are exported as flat images. You cannot select the text, fix a typo, or restyle a heading. Most online deck editors solve that by uploading your file to a server, which is a privacy problem of its own.
The solution
DeckEdit covers both sides of that gap, locally. The NotebookLM Slide Converter rebuilds every slide as a real editable .pptx. The Free Online Presentation Editor lets you open any PDF or image deck and edit the text directly in the browser. The original layout and graphics are preserved. Nothing is sent to a server.
Why DeckEdit
100% Local Processing
Your files never leave your device. All OCR and editing happens in your browser. No server uploads, no cloud storage, no privacy concerns.
No Registration Required
Start using DeckEdit immediately. No email, no account, no trial period. Just drop your file and go.
True Editable Text
Unlike screenshot-to-PDF tools, DeckEdit creates real text boxes you can click, edit, and format. Not background images with text overlays.
About the Founders
DeckEdit was co-founded by Keith Li and the CEO of a Y Combinator alumni company. Keith is the Chief Agentic Engineer. He built the entire app using AI agents under his direct supervision: the discipline Andrej Karpathy named Agentic Engineering in February 2026. This is beyond Vibe Coding. DeckEdit is the living proof that disciplined Agentic Engineering ships world-class, robust, privacy-proof production software with a one-person army.
Keith also runs Allytic AI, where he leads training workshops and consulting on Agentic Engineering for teams who want to build the same way.
